Element Hotels launches new solar charging canopy in Dallas

An innovative canopy that works as a solar powered charging station has been launched at the Element Hotel at Dallas Fort Worth Airport. Designed in the shape of a canopy that shades people from the sun while they sit outside, it enables guests to relax at outdoor table and chairs, while the solar panels recharge their devices.

GRAB THE ESSENTIALS

1: The ‘SolarSkin’ solar panel has been designed by Sistine Solar to change the way people see solar panels.

2: The canopy is off grid, but has integrated LEDs that provide light at night.

3: Element is a ‘eco innovation lab’ brand of Starwood hotels, and has mandated that all its properties pursue the LEED certification for high-performance buildings.
