The EXO Foundation, a non-profit organisation supporting sustainable tourism initiatives, held its first Sustainability Awards ceremony yesterday (September 28) on Zoom.

The diploma is the first of its type and is aimed at students from developing countries and small island states. It will train students to support businesses in the travel and transport industry in adjusting their operations towards the goal of becoming carbon neutral, in the face of the global challenge of Climate Change.

To support its members and the tourism industry to recover from the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, the Pacific Asia Travel Association has launched a Crisis Resource Centre. This digital resource aims help businesses manage the current crisis and focuses on crisis preparedness, management, and recovery for destinations and other tourism enterprises across the Asia Pacific.

The eco hotel summit is a free 5-day online event taking place between 27th and 31st July 2020, organised in association with Eco Resort Network and World of Glamping. The event will incorporate over 50 speakers on a variety of topics, as well as offering innovative virtual networking opportunities.
