“Dewakan was founded on the idea that there’s a lot this region has that is exceptionally unique,” says Darren Teoh, chef at Dewakan, Kuala Lumpur, which became the first Malaysian restaurant to appear on the prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019 and also holds a Michelin star.
