ABTA has launched new guidance to help travel agents incorporate sustainability into their business practices. The guidance was developed in response to feedback from members.
Manual to Measuring and Monitoring Resource Efficiency and Greenhouse Gas Emissions in the Hotel and Conference Sector is aiming to support tourism businesses to measure and improve the performance of their business in resource efficiency and GHG emissions.

Made up of 62 tourism enterprises, from cheesemongers to carbon-neutral hotels, the Burren Ecotourism Network works to conserve the area through training, initiatives and a code of sustainable practices. The Network has now been awarded the ‘Green Light’ award for sustainability from Independent.ie.
