European study about responsible tourism needed

(JLAG) The European Network EARTH (European Alliance for Responsible Tourism and Hospitality) calls the European institutions to fund the launch of a European-wide study in order to measure the place of consumption and expectations of consumers regarding sustainable and responsible tourism.

The results of this study could help to distinguish market opportunities, identify potential innovations to guide and adjust the supply, and increase the competitiveness of tourism operators. Tourism stakeholders (European networks, SMEs, associations, NGOs, consulting firms, associations, foundations and also public authorities) call for clear and universal indicators regarding responsible and sustainable tourism to be integrated into the official tourism statistics of each country as well as at European level.
