Anula Galewska

Co-founder, Managing Director

Anula Galewska has co-founded Travindy together with Jeremy Smith in 2012. She now serves as Managing Director and oversees all Travindy's operations and projects.

Anula is a tour-entrepreneur and a sustainable tourism consultant. She has been providing strategic advice and training to tourism destinations, hotels and tour operators from over 80 countries, helping them improve their sustainability operations and marketing. In the last years she specializes in sustainable tourism development in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Her consulting clients include Travel Massive, Urban Adventures (Intrepid Group), Polisg Tourism Board, Turismo Portugal, Helvetas, Krasnaya Polyana (Sochi), among others. Anula is frequent speaker at international tourism events and conferences, including ITB Berlin, WTM London, Arival Event, Web in Travel, among others.

Rebecca Waller

News Editor

Rebecca has joined Travindy as a volunteer, and now works as News Editor.

Rebecca specialises in responsible tourism product development and is a keen writer with excellent cross-cultural communication skills. Rebecca worked as product manager at Sumak Travel, Costa Rica, managed a tour company in Moshi, Tanzania and trained safari and mountain guides in responsible tourism. She also collaborated on Farm for the Future project, linking farmers to tourism supply chains. Sh used to write a monthly responsible tourism column for Kenyan magazine Coastal Guide and worked 5 years as operations manager in the UK charity sector. Rebecca holds Master’s degree Responsible Tourism Management.

Jeremy Smith

Co-founder, Advisor

Jeremy Smith has co-founded Travindy together with Anula Galewska back in 2012. He has worked as the Managing Director and Editor in Chief until 2020, when he co-founded Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency. Jeremy supports now Travindy as an Advisor.

Jeremy is a writer, speaker and consultant in sustainable tourism. He writes a blog on WTM’s Responsible Tourism website. His second book, Transforming Travel – realising the potential of sustainable tourism, was published in 2018. Jeremy is a member of Travalyst’s Independent Advisory Board and was a member of Rotterdam’s International Advisory Board in 2019. His recent clients include UK National Parks, Tripadvisor, Travel Foundation, WTTC and the European Travel Commission. For all his consultancy work, visit jmcsmith.com.

Xavier Font

Co-founder, Advisor

Xavier Font joined Travindy as a Partner in the first years of our operations, and supports Travindy with his advice ever since.

Xavier is an expert in sustainable tourism communications, also specialised in sustainability certification and sustainable supply chain management. Xavier works as a Professor of Sustainability Marketing at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Surrey. Earlier, he worked as Director of Respondeco. Xavier has an extensive experience in training on sustainable tourism production and consumption. He helped over 2000 organisations to communicate sustainability, including Visit England, UNEP, UNWTO, WWF and the Travel Foundation.
