Como afiliados a WTM Londres, nuestra edici\u00f3n tiene como objetivo sensibilizar a sus expositores y visitantes sobre el cambio necesario que debe llegar desde la industria para conseguir un crecimiento saludable, sostenible y a largo plazo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mi deber en la feria latinoamericana es establecer la agenda de turismo responsable y organizar paneles donde tengamos la oportunidad de aprender y compartir con los mejores casos de responsabilidad en las muchas \u00e1reas relacionadas con los viajes y el turismo, incluidos temas candentes como el uso de pl\u00e1stico y la crisis clim\u00e1tica.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para liderar este cambio en 2020, propusimos presentar la versi\u00f3n latinoamericana de los prestigiosos premios <a href=\"https:\/\/responsibletourism.wtm.com\/awards\/\"><em>WTM Responsible Tourism Awards<\/em><\/a>. Para promocionar esta nueva ventura, me invitaron a venir a Londres y conocer grupos de turismo nacionales, regionales y locales y sus coexpositores para mapear cu\u00e1les son las empresas, proyectos y programas de turismo responsable en nuestro continente que se est\u00e1n promoviendo en una de las ferias comerciales de viajes y turismo m\u00e1s importantes del mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No obstante, no todas las iniciativas que operan y trabajan en sus territorios bajo el paraguas del turismo sostenible pueden acudir a una feria internacional de estas caracter\u00edsticas. Y son a estas microempresas, cooperativas de turismo rural y comunitario, proyectos urbanos sociales, peque\u00f1os empresarios -e incluso grandes actores- de nuestro continente que me gustar\u00eda hacer un llamamiento para que participaran en los  <a href=\"https:\/\/latinamerica.wtm.com\/es\/eventos\/Premio-de-Turismo-Responsable-WTM-Latin-America\/\">WTM World Responsible Tourism Awards<\/a> (Premios Latinoamericanos de Turismo Responsable).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Categor\u00edas de los premios WTM Latin America Responsible Tourism Awards<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/latinamerica.wtm.com\/es\/eventos\/Premio-de-Turismo-Responsable-WTM-Latin-America\/Conozca-las-categorias-de-la-premiacion-\/\">Las categor\u00edas para esta primera edici\u00f3n de los premios<\/a> buscan identificar aquellas iniciativas que est\u00e1n generando un impacto positivo en sus territorios. El objetivo es que sean replicables y que den respuesta a alguno de los principales desaf\u00edos que enfrentamos como continente. Las cuatro categor\u00edas buscan soluciones a estos retos para que puedan inspirar a otras personas y juntos catalizar el cambio hacia modelos tur\u00edsticos m\u00e1s responsables.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Reducci\u00f3n de la pobreza e inclusi\u00f3n. <\/strong>Es una de las categor\u00edas m\u00e1s antiguas de los World Responsible Tourism Awards originales. Este premio se centra en proyectos que utilizan el turismo como una estrategia para cambiar la realidad local, creando experiencias tur\u00edsticas \u00fanicas mientras se trabaja para lograr una reducci\u00f3n medible de la pobreza. En esta categor\u00eda se incluye tanto el impacto generado en la comunidad local, como en colectivos en riesgo de exclusi\u00f3n o marginados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Contribuci\u00f3n a la conservaci\u00f3n de la fauna. <\/strong>Su objetivo es encontrar iniciativas tur\u00edsticas que combinan la observaci\u00f3n de fauna con la conservaci\u00f3n tanto de su h\u00e1bitat como de la propia especie en cuesti\u00f3n. Buscamos iniciativas de impacto, que hayan podido medir la mejora de la situaci\u00f3n inicial y que puedan demostrar c\u00f3mo el turismo trabaja con la poblaci\u00f3n local para recuperar especies y h\u00e1bitats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Mejor atracci\u00f3n de patrimonio cultural.<\/strong> Aqu\u00ed hacemos un llamamiento a casos de \u00e9xito de recursos culturales, hist\u00f3ricos o natural protegido que trabaje sobre los principios del turismo responsable para crear experiencias tur\u00edsticas memorables apoyadas en una innovadora interpretaci\u00f3n del patrimonio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Mejor destino tur\u00edstico.<\/strong> Dedicada para aquellos destinos que utilizan el turismo para la promoci\u00f3n del desarrollo sostenible local. Lugares y gestores de destino que identifican cada visita como una oportunidad para construir una mejor calidad de vida para los residentes a trav\u00e9s de una serie de pr\u00e1cticas sostenibles, mientras crean una agradable experiencia del viajero y promueven las sinergias entre visitantes y visitados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Inscripci\u00f3n abierta hasta el 15 de diciembre<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mientras pasaban los d\u00edas en WTM Londres, creci\u00f3 la certeza de que nuestro continente tiene mucho que mostrar al mundo, que estamos asumiendo la responsabilidad, y deber\u00eda ser un ejemplo para el resto de la industria. Es hora de promover soluciones y celebrar a quienes han adoptado la sostenibilidad como forma de vida y de trabajo en nuestro continente, mostrar nuestras propias soluciones y compartir este conocimiento para fomentar el efecto multiplicador de las buenas pr\u00e1cticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por ello, les invito a todos a aprovechar esta oportunidad, crear redes entre nosotros\u00a0 y dar visibilidad a su proyecto a trav\u00e9s de los WTM World Responsible Tourism Awards. \u00a1Esperamos dar a conocer a una audiencia global grandes historias con estos premios!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las solicitudes a\u00fan est\u00e1n abiertas hasta el 15 de diciembre.
