The keynote speaker for World Responsible Tourism Day at this year’s World Travel Market\u00a0is\u00a0Kevin Anderson, Professor of Energy and Climate Change in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering at the University of Manchester (pictured).\u00a0Anderson, who is also Deputy Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, advises the Prime Minister\u2019s office on carbon trading and has contributed to the development of the UK\u2019s Climate Change Act.\u00a0He believes the UNCC\u2019s objective is \u201cjust\u201d about possible \u201cif we deliver a radical reduction in energy consumption now\u201d. However, he believes \u201cwe have done nothing about climate change for the past 25 years\u201d.<\/p>\n
