Hotels are therefore advised to assess potential staff&#8217;s eco-awareness at interview stage, and to ensure adequate training is given to employees to ensure they support its initiatives.<\/p>\n<h6>In Brief<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Employees who undertook personal environmental actions (eg recycling at home) were found to be more likely to engage in a hotel&#8217;s sustainability programme.<\/li>\n<li>The paper says one advantage of hiring employees who &#8220;personally follow ecological environmentally friendly practices&#8221;
