company\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainablebrands.com\/news_and_views\/collaboration\/sustainable_brands\/looptworks_working_replenish_colorado_river_%E2%80%94_your_h\" rel=\"nofollow\">Looptworks<\/a>\u00a0has resulted in\u00a043 acres of leather collected from 80,000 discarded Southwest airplane seats being turned into weekender duffle bags, shoes, soccer balls and more, rather than being discarded.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#81b910;color:#fff\">&nbsp;In Brief&nbsp;<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>By repurposing the leather, the Southwest-Looptworks partnership helped to conserve over 4,000 gallons of water and avoid 72 per cent of associated CO2 emissions.<\/li>\n<li>Looptworks partnered with a local nonprofit to provide career training for adults with disabilities\u00a0who\u00a0deconstructed the airplane seats and prepared them\u00a0for upcycling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"su-highlight\"
