The main theme of this year\u2019s edition focuses on Sustainable Solutions to the challenges of the 21st century tourism industry.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The Sustainable &amp; Social Tourism Summit was based on the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a space where we can discuss the great challenges of tourism with professionals from different fields, while becoming a benchmark for Mexico&#8221; says Vicente Ferreyra, organizer of the event and CEO of Sustentur. He adds: &#8220;it is the perfect pretext to see us, to connect, to think, to generate alliances and to be able to replicate the things that are being done well in other parts of the country, and the world.&#8221;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first two days will be filled with talks from the professionals, experts and international influencers who will address the five key themes of the event: massification, sustainable value chains, decent employment, inclusion and transformative travel.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ferreyra adds, &#8220;the Summit aims to face the challenges through three key factors: reflecting during conferences and discussion panels, solving through the Sustainable Tourism Expo and experiencing, through field visits to successful projects organized for the last day.\u201d These visits show a different face of Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean and include the Rio Secreto Nature Reserve, the Sian Ka&#8217;an Biosphere Reserve (World Heritage Site), and an area of the Mesoamerican Reef System.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In its previous edition, the Sustainable &amp; Social Tourism Summit had 30 national and international speakers and more than 300 attendees from the 5 continents.The event opens a space to connect and link agents of change in the world. As Marta Lorenzini, CEO of Ayllutures, said &#8220;at events like the Cancun Summit, it is when I realize that I am not the only person on the planet committed to the sustainable development of the tourism industry. I see that my speech is also the same speech of others. A speech that is capable of concrete actions that have the power to transform.&#8221;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It should be noted that the Sustainable &amp; Social Tourism Summit is a carbon neutral event, in which CO2 emissions will be measured and compensated through Scolel&#8217;te.
