La UMA abri\u00f3 su primer programa educativo al p\u00fablico en 2009, y desde entonces hemos estado creciendo con firmeza. Actualmente ofrecemos siete maestr\u00edas semipresenciales y contamos con una preparatoria<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Todas nuestras actividades giran alrededor del medioambiente y la sostenibilidad. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nuestra misi\u00f3n es impulsar un futuro regenerativo, sostenible y \u00e9tico, promoviendo iniciativas que transformen los sistemas socioambientales que habitamos. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>\u00bfC\u00f3mo lo hacemos?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Convocando a personas que se consideran agentes de cambio o aspiran a serlo, para apoyarlos en su camino de profesionalizaci\u00f3n. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entendiendo que el turismo es un sistema altamente complejo, conformado por muchos subsistemas. Es una red de lugares, actores y proyectos interrelacionados. Aqu\u00ed, m\u00e1s que en otras \u00e1reas a\u00fan, todo sucede por las relaciones. Las relaciones entre el visitante y un lugar, el visitante y la comunidad receptora, la comunidad y el proyecto tur\u00edstico&#8230; El turismo es muy din\u00e1mico, es vol\u00e1til, y al mismo tiempo es resiliente. Es flexible y siempre vuelve a estar en balance. Cualquier acci\u00f3n tiene su repercusi\u00f3n en el sistema completo. As\u00ed como un impacto negativo crea una cadena de consecuencias, tambi\u00e9n nuestras acciones positivas pueden encadenar efectos positivos. Si logramos conservar el habitat de las tortugas en una playa, por ejemplo, ellas vendr\u00e1n a anidar, lo cual atrae al turismo que aporta recursos econ\u00f3micos a la poblaci\u00f3n local, que a su vez ver\u00e1 un incentivo para seguir protegiendo el ecosistema local. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Movernos en este complejo sistema de relaciones no solo requiere conocimientos y datos t\u00e9cnicos, sino tambi\u00e9n mucha sensibilidad, empat\u00eda y creatividad. El plan de estudios de todos los posgrados de la UMA considera esta necesidad de nuestra era de manera muy concreta. En las materias de tronco com\u00fan que son compartidas por los integrantes de todas las maestr\u00edas, los estudiantes adquieren conocimientos sobre el funcionamiento de los ecosistemas, sobre diferentes problem\u00e1ticas socioambientales y modelos de mitigaci\u00f3n y regeneraci\u00f3n. Les proporcionamos herramientas racionales para interpretar el mundo y promovemos el desarrollo personal enfocado en la agencia de cambio. Es un plan de estudios que toma en cuenta al estudiante como un ser humano completo y complejo, no solamente como una cabeza m\u00e1s que hay que llenar de informaci\u00f3n. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dentro de la maestr\u00eda de turismo trabajamos sobre dos ejes: el eje de Turismo Sostenible y el eje de Turismo Bio Cultural. El primer eje analiza la estructura del turismo como sector &#8211; las leyes, normas, organizaciones y actores que lo rigen. El segundo eje explora un nivel m\u00e1s sutil del fascinante fen\u00f3meno que es el turismo. Ambas corrientes se entrelazan y forman el ADN del posgrado. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El eje de Turismo Bio Cultural trabaja desde la Ecolog\u00eda Profunda. La Ecolog\u00eda Profunda es una corriente filos\u00f3fica que tiene su origen en los a\u00f1os setenta, cuando el fil\u00f3sofo y ecologista noruego Arne Naess postul\u00f3 que a trav\u00e9s de experiencias profundas emergen preguntas profundas que a su vez causan un compromiso profundo que da vida a la ecolog\u00eda profunda. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para la Ecolog\u00eda Profunda, igual que para la visi\u00f3n sist\u00e9mica de la vida, los seres humanos no somos ni separados ni superiores a la naturaleza, sino sujetos a los mismos principios ordenadores que todas las formas de vida. Todas las formas de vida est\u00e1n conectadas e interdependientes y, muy importante, todas tienen su valor por s\u00ed solas independiente del uso humano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la UMA enfocamos nuestra mirada apreciativa en el potencial de una situaci\u00f3n. En el caso del Turismo Bio Cultural nos enfocamos en partes iguales en el potencial natural y cultural. La elecci\u00f3n de este t\u00e9rmino para la l\u00ednea curricular esencial de nuestra propuesta acad\u00e9mica fue muy consciente. Sabemos que el t\u00e9rmino <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ecoturismo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> en su origen apelaba de manera igual a la riqueza natural y cultural de los destinos. Lamentablemente el concepto ha sido distorsionado por muchos operadores y hoy en d\u00eda podemos encontrar a hordas de cuatrimotos en el bosque, cuyos pilotos est\u00e1n convencidos de estar haciendo ecoturismo y de tener un v\u00ednculo profundo con la naturaleza. Con la elecci\u00f3n del t\u00e9rmino <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bio cultural<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> queremos regresar al origen del ecoturismo y m\u00e1s
