[<\/span>dropcap]E[\/dropcap]arthCheck has signed a partnership agreement in November with Bodegas de Argentina to further develop sustainable tourism practices in Argentina.\u00a0<\/span>President of\u00a0<\/span>Bodegas de Argentina<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and head winemaker of\u00a0<\/span>Bodega Bressia<\/span><\/a>, Walter Bressia said the association has a mission to support the Argentinian wine industry to become a leader in sustainable tourism development. <\/span>\u201cWe look forward to collaborating with EarthCheck to guide the sustainability and corporate and social responsibility initiatives of the Argentinian wine industry,\u201d Mr. Bressia said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bodegas de Argentina is made up of more than 250 companies from all the viticultural areas of Argentina, including the provinces of Salta, Catamarca, La Rioja, San Juan, Mendoza, Neuqu\u00e9n, R\u00edo Negro, C\u00f3rdoba and Buenos Aires.\u00a0<\/span>CEO and Founder of EarthCheck and Executive Director of the APEC International Centre for Sustainable Tourism, Stewart Moore said the partnership was an exciting opportunity to continue EarthCheck\u2019s work in the region and support Bodegas de Argentina\u2019s vision of sustainable development.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cBodegas de Argentina is spearheading sustainable initiatives in the region, particularly in the areas of improving the experiential awareness of sustainable tourism practices, achieving a resource-efficient society at the local level, promoting sustainable development and fostering inter-regional cooperation,\u201d Mr Moore said.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThis partnership provides opportunities to work with leading wineries and vineyards in Argentina to help lower their environmental impact and operational costs in addition to supporting local communities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

EarthCheck is currently working with leading winemakers such as <\/span>Bodegas Salentein<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Casa El Enemigo Vigil<\/span><\/a> to tackle sustainability challenges.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThe next step in world class destination management is in the delivery of experience development programs which play a key role in packaging the unique assets of the Argentinian wine industry and connecting both visitors and the community with local operators,\u201d Mr Moore said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
