Seven fashion designers have repurposed sheets from Fairmont Waterfront Hotel into\u00a0kimonos as part of Eco Fashion Week (EFW) 2015 in Vancouver.\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019ve all been stuck in our ways of doing things for years so it\u2019s time to think about changing. We want to make it easy for the industry to be more responsible,\u201d said\u00a0Myriam Laroche, EFW\u2019s founder and president.<\/p>\n

1: According to\u00a0Kristyna Vogel, marketing and public relations manager of the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, the 1,500 sheets that are disposed of each year are normally either\u00a0reused as rags and furniture covers or donated to local shelters.<\/p>\n
