Dear Everyone,<\/h3>\n

T<\/span>ravindy exists to share the stories that can transform tourism into a force for good. This could be\u00a0anything from news of issues that matter, to reporting on the latest innovations and ideas that can turn the so-called ‘World’s Largest Service Industry” into a truly regenerative sector. Into one where the simple, joyous act of going holiday actually improves the world. And not because the company has sought to balance its negative footprint with a little bit of CSR on the side. But because the way the business is designed – its core operations – actually create a positive impact.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning, we have done this by sharing the stories we find all around the internet that we think need to be read. We do this on no budget, and we do not have a business model. We don’t want one. We aren’t looking to convert your clicks into currency.\u00a0 We know its supposed to be bad for SEO to have lots of duplicate content. That’s not why we do this. We do this because we’d like lots of people to read the articles, here and on their original sites, so that the stories and the issues they talk about get more widely read, and the stories of all these exceptional people and their ideas stop being treated as exceptions, and become seen as what they are – parts of a growing, positive, empowering movement for change. As the foundations on which we should build a tourism industry fit for the future.<\/p>\n

We believe in an open source, collaboratively created, diverse and inclusive world. We believe it is a better, more pleasurable, more exciting place, and we also believe it to be more resilient and more sustainable. We base our belief on the fact that this is how nature works. And it seems to us that emulating a design approach that is several billion years in the making, which makes no waste and which is based upon constant adaptation and improvement towards greater resilience – well that makes more sense than adopting an economic approach that ignores all this natural wisdom and instead creates an artifical, linear system in its place. (Also, it doesn’t seem to be working very well).<\/p>\n

Why are we saying all this? Because we want you – anyone who is passionate about responsible, sustainable, conscious, transformative, fair tourism – to feel part of developing this industry with us. To encourage you all to share your stories here on Travindy. If you have news, a comment, an interview that you would like to share we want to hear from you. Your collaborations will make us better.<\/p>\n

You can share your stories directly from any page on Travindy using the big red Submit Article<\/strong><\/a> button. All you have to do is make sure you are a) registered<\/a>, and b) signed in<\/a>. You can then add your story, and it will appear in our drafts folder ready to check and publish (assuming it is relevant, true and not libellous).<\/p>\n

We’re happy to publish articles that have never been published elsewhere. We’ll republish pieces you want to share more widely. We’ll publish excerpts and credit and link across to the source of the original. We just want to help these stories be heard and acted upon.<\/p>\n
