Imagen ilustrativa del texto.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span class=\"wpsdc-drop-cap\">H<\/span>asta el paisaje m\u00e1s desolado derrocha posibilidades e historias que no aparenta, ocultas en sus estratos por el paso del tiempo y por la vegetaci\u00f3n. El reto es vivificar esos paisajes que no nos dicen nada, o liberar los que reducimos al localismo, agrarismo o tradicionalismo. Como prueba, escojo un hotel sostenible, Sabinares de Arlanza, en Puentedura, Burgos, ubicado entre bosques de sabinas y desfiladeros, escenario del western El bueno, el feo y el malo (una ruta recorre sus localizaciones). La consulta superficial en la hemeroteca de ese nombre, Puentedura, demuestra c\u00f3mo en el s. XIX este lugar fue ir\u00f3nicamente escenario de acontecimientos dignos del Salvaje Oeste, y de cine, pero ambientado aqu\u00ed, no en Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>La referencia m\u00e1s antigua tiene fecha del mi\u00e9rcoles 16 de mayo de 1821, y describe la persecuci\u00f3n del &#8220;faccioso Merino&#8221;. Es el contexto del Trienio Liberal que desatar\u00eda la Guerra Realista. La rese\u00f1a extractada dice:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20044\" src=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto2.png\" alt=\"Hemeroteca rural: el salvaje oeste de Puentedura\" width=\"593\" height=\"313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto2.png 1024w, https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto2-300x158.png 300w, https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto2-768x406.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 593px) 100vw, 593px\" \/><br \/>\nLa segunda referencia, muy breve, es del lunes 22 de enero de 1849, y dice:<\/p>\n<p>Burgos 19. -El Estudiante con otros siete se ha dejado ver en Puentedura. Las columnas le acosan y pronto dar\u00e1n cuenta de \u00e9l y sus restos.<\/p>\n<p>Investigando un poco, descubrimos que la zona es entonces escenario de la guerra de los matiners (madrugadores), as\u00ed llamados porque sus miembros atacaban antes del amanecer. Uno de sus l\u00edderes en la regi\u00f3n se hace llamar &#8220;el Estudiante&#8221;, incendia diligencias y asesina alcaldes, entre ellos el de Puentedura:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20046\" src=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto-3.jpg\" alt=\"Hemeroteca rural: el salvaje oeste de Puentedura\" width=\"514\" height=\"386\" srcset=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto-3.jpg 595w, https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto-3-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 514px) 100vw, 514px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>El Capit\u00e1n general de Burgos publica en respuesta el siguiente Bando:<\/p>\n<p>Hago saber: que Antonio Arnaiz (alias) el Estudiante de Villasur, antes del 23 de noviembre \u00faltimo en que se present\u00f3 como cabecilla de una facci\u00f3n montemolinista, ten\u00eda sobre s\u00ed tres sentencias de pena capital en garrote vil, todas por delitos comunes (&#8230;). Reducido hoy \u00e1 la condici\u00f3n inicua de un capataz de bandidos, acaudillando nueve \u00f3 diez criminales sujetos todos por delitos anteriores \u00e1 la \u00faltima pena, quema las casas y ganados de moradores pac\u00edficos, asesina con prodigalidad b\u00e1rbara \u00e1 honrados \u00e9 indefensos alcaldes, padres de numerosa familia, ejerciendo terror defrauda las aldeas m\u00e1s empobrecidas (&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>El bando concluye ofreciendo una recompensa por su cabeza:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20042\" src=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto-1.jpg\" alt=\"Hemeroteca rural: el salvaje oeste de Puentedura\" width=\"626\" height=\"295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto-1.jpg 626w, https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Foto-1-300x141.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 626px) 100vw, 626px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Para terminar, una estampa m\u00e1s ligera y costumbrista de 1895:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20048\" src=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/foto-4.jpg\" alt=\"Hemeroteca rural: el salvaje oeste de Puentedura\" width=\"382\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/foto-4.jpg 336w, https:\/\/travindy.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/foto-4-300x118.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 382px) 100vw, 382px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tiene que ver todo esto con el turismo sostenible? \u00bfO siquiera con el turismo rural? Ser una mina de storytelling. Tenemos la idea infundada de que la historia del planeta corre pareja a la nuestra. Como si su paisaje evolucionase tambi\u00e9n de forma lineal, no c\u00edclica, tras nuestra idea de progreso, pasando p\u00e1gina bajo cada generaci\u00f3n. La Hemeroteca rural desmiente esto, presenta la naturaleza de forma atemporal y ajena a nuestro calendario, y refresca el valor y vigencia de paisajes que nos parecen atrasados, devolviendo a un bosque la trascendencia humana que tuvo y sigue teniendo en potencia. La hemeroteca rural vivifica y da sentido a cualquier rinc\u00f3n olvidado, algo que podemos aprovechar para destapar las mil y una historias que deposita el paisaje.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
