are working to create a safer, more responsible space that allows consumers, businesses and investors to fully take advantage of its benefits through the rolling out of greater regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2016, UK trade body\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sharingeconomyuk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sharing Economy UK<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(SEUK) launched its\u00a0<strong>TrustSeal<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 the world\u2019s first kitemark for the sharing economy in an effort to make the industry a safer space for consumers.<\/p>\n<p>A year later home sharing platform\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainablebrands.com\/news_and_views\/cleantech\/sustainable_brands\/airbnb_solarcity_partner_incentivize_members_switch_clea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Airbnb<\/a><\/strong>, ticketing site\u00a0<strong>StubHub<\/strong>, pet-sitting and travel website\u00a0<strong>TrustedHousesitters<\/strong>\u00a0and car rental company\u00a0<strong>HiyaCar\u00a0<\/strong>are the first companies to receive SEUK\u2019s sharing economy kitemark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is an excerpt from an article first published
