T<\/span>o mark the start of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism, the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) is offering a new online service.<\/p>\n

Visitors can access information in 17 different languages on all aspects of\u00a0Sustainable Travel in Germany<\/a>. You can find out about climate-friendly travel by rail and bus, green accommodation and organic restaurants. Categories include slow travel and natural landscapes, green cities, health and beauty spas and barrier-free travel.<\/p>\n

Petra Hedorfer, GNTB’s chairwoman, said that the aim was to underline the importance of sustainability for Germany as a travel destination.<\/p>\n
