\"UNWTO<\/p>\n

U<\/span>NWTO is currently inviting submissions to the 13th edition of the UNWTO Awards. Co-organized by\u00a0International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR \/\u00a0<\/a>IFEMA<\/a>), the event will take place on 18 January 2017 on the first day of the 2017FITUR\/IFEMA<\/a>, Madrid, Spain.<\/p>\n

The applications for the UNWTO Awards for Innovation in Tourism<\/a> are open for organizations or businesses, fitting into one of the categories listed below, and that are currently undertaking a tourism-related project\/initiative with an innovative and sustainable approach.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 UNWTO Award for Innovation in Public Policy and Governance<\/strong>
\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 UNWTO Award for Innovation in Enterprises<\/strong>
\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 UNWTO Award for Innovation in Non-Governmental Organizations<\/strong>
\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 UNWTO Award for Innovation in Research and Technology
\n<\/strong>
\nThe deadline\u00a0for submitting applications is\u00a030 September 2016.<\/strong> All applications shall be sent to awards@unwto.org<\/a>. Please make sure to read the\u00a0Guidelines\u00a0before completing your application. Applications not respecting the conditions listed in the Statement of Understanding will not be considered. The needed documents are available for download at the bottom of this page.<\/p>\n

Important Note:\u00a0<\/strong>All complete applications are carefully evaluated by an international Jury of Experts based on the criteria set forth in the\u00a013th\u00a0UNWTO Awards Guidelines.<\/p>\n
