A<\/span>s a result of an agreement with the company A2A from Italy, the hotels operated by Meli\u00e1 Hotels International in Italy have received certification in renewable energy\u00a0 in recognition of the use of green energy in 100% of its hotels in the country, including the Gran Meli\u00e1 Rome, ME Milan il Duca, Meli\u00e1 Milan, Meli\u00e1 Genova, Meli\u00e1 Campione and Meli\u00e1 Villa Capri.<\/p>\n

A2A is the second largest Italian producer of renewable energy and is a national leader in services focused on the generation of environmentally-friendly energy. This partnership allows the hotels to secure the use of energy from renewable sources from 1 January 2016 until 31 December of the same year.<\/p>\n

In 2015, the Company signed an agreement with Endesa to ensure all of its hotels and corporate headquarters in Spain would use 100% renewable electricity through to the end of 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
