GRAPHIC.\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KHkp7UTuVuI?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The animal rights groups have been protesting against the islands for their annual\u00a0mass killing\u00a0of whales in a practice known as the Grind. During the Grind, a flotilla of small boats\u00a0herds\u00a0whales or dolphins into a shallow bay where they can be easily killed with knives. According to National Geographic, grinds are the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/news.nationalgeographic.com\/news\/2014\/09\/140911-faroe-island-pilot-whale-hunt-animals-ocean-science\/\">longest continuously practiced and relatively unchanged whaling tradition in the world<\/a>&#8221;
