Applications open for World Responsible Tourism Awards

 

Applications are now open for the 1oth annual World Responsible Tourism Awards. Organised by responsibletravel.com, the awards are presented each year on World Responsible Tourism Day, which occurs each year at WTM in London.

World Responsible Tourism Awards 2016This year the number of awards have been reduced down to five: they are: Best accommodation for responsible employment; Best contribution to wildlife conservation; Best innovation by a tour operator; Best for poverty reduction and inclusion; and Best responsible tourism campaign.

“The organisations, initiatives and businesses we uncover each year have the power to shape the future of tourism, to be catalysts for change in an industry which will have a huge impact on global climate and development,” said Justin Francis, managing director of organisers responsibletravel.com, and founder of the awards.

Anyone wishing to submit an application, or nominate someone else for an award can do so here.
