Ecotourism to protected areas grew 14% in Brazil during 2014

7.3 million tourists visited the various state protected areas around the giant South American country during the last year, according to figures provided by Brazil’s Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), and increase of 14% on 2013. The protected areas visited ranged from national parks and forests to biological reserves and other nature conservation areas.
