Mr. Poonsak Chumchuay, THAI Managing Director, said that even though domestic ivory can still be bought and sold in the country, the import and export of ivory or all ivory products are strictly prohibited in accordance with the international agreement under the pact drawn by CITES: The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.”
