Eco Hotel Summit: A sustainable event for our times

Are you a professional working in the green tourism sector? If so, be sure to join us on July 27-31 for the Eco Hotel Summit, a new 5-day online event that will focus on taking your eco accommodation operations and sustainability to the next level! This event is being put on by the Eco Resort Network, World of Glamping and No Footprint Consulting, and a percentage of proceeds will be donated to Sustainable Travel International!

The event boasts a roster of over 70 speakers on a variety of essential topics around operation, technology and consumer needs following the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, on the final day of the event, there will be an innovative virtual networking opportunity, where delegates can meet some of the speakers, ask questions and swap contact details within a virtual networking room.

Many leading experts from transformative and experiential travel industry will be speaking at the event, including: Elora Hardy from Ibuku, Sonu Shivdasani from Soneva, iconic designer Bill Bensley, Luca Franco (Luxury Frontiers), Juliet Kinsman, Jeremy Smith, Louis Thompson (Nomadic Resorts), Vincent Raisiere (Amazing Escapes & Kachi Lodge), Jason Allen Villarino (Keemala Thailand), Robyn Woodhead (White Desert Antarctica), Manuel Barbosa (Sundy Praia HBD Principe) Nicole Robinson from andBeyond and many other experts.

Five days of talks, culminating in an interactive networking session online, will tackle many issues arising from recent global events, as well as looking at ways in which technology might make the job of the eco operator easier and more effective.

The event will be free to view live, with options for delegates to pay a small amount for flexibility of viewing at their own leisure, as well as joining the networking event on day 5, which is limited in numbers. Based on figures from previous events organised by No Footprint Consulting, we expect to attract over 10,000 hoteliers with this online event.

“We are not unaware of our own duties to the environment, which is why we have become a Sustainable Event Alliance member working towards accreditation,” says co-organiser Steph Curtis-Raleigh. “In addition, we have pledged to donate 5% of any profits from the event to Sustainable Travel International“.
