EXO Travel has committed to an ambitious new carbon offset programme

Major players in Asia’s bustling tourism industry have a duty to uphold and protect the region’s natural and cultural resources and to create a net-positive impact on destinations and the people living in them.

In Laos, charcoal and wood are the most common forms of fuel for cooking. In addition to the carbon emissions and air pollution this causes, the resulting demand also leads to significant deforestation and environmental degradation.

EXO Travel has recently joined up with NEXUS for Development in an ambitious new carbon offset strategy that seeks compensate for the carbon emissions of its travellers by alleviating this problem.
